Searching your heart.
You as a Christian have signed a ticket to follow Jesus. You are born again and have accepted Jesus as your personal Savior. Ask yourself “Is your heart genuine?”
“The spirit is willing but the flesh is too weak”
Many are born again Christians but their heart desires denies them the chance to come closer to God. They ask God for things with bad motives. The spirit of selfishness has filled every heart. Everyone only think of themselves forgetting about the love, care and sharing, the gospel that Jesus left for us to spread. That is why whenever we ask for anything from God; He refuses to answer us back. We are told to come closer to him so that he can see our humbleness right from inside our hearts and he will listen to us. Purify our hearts; remove every evil thought, worldly desire that brings fight and quarrels amongst us. Things like pride that make us consider ourselves to be better than others. Before you judge your brother on how alcoholic or how he has never stepped into a church or how he is a sinner than you are, consider yourself the most sinful person, repent and ask for forgiveness. Wash your hands you sinner; means let go of any sinful desire, your old ways and live a new life. You are lucky you are already chosen, ask God to guide you through this race so that you can be the light of the world, can help in saving more souls by being his disciple and you will see his goodness. He will lift you up. Matt 6:33 seek the kingdom of heaven first and he will provide the rest
Another way of worshiping God is through praise. We have seen through the bible the power within praise. Besides miracles happening these people got filled inside their hearts with the Spirit.1 Samuel 16 when the Lords Spirit left Saul, God sent an evil spirit to Saul that tormented him. His servants advised him to order for a man who knows how to play the harp and recommended David son of Jesse. Verse 23 says “whenever the evil spirit sent by God came to Saul, David would get his harp and play it. The evil spirit would leave…” meaning there is power that God himself has bestowed on praise and even the instruments used during praise. They are able to send evil spirits away and invite Holy Spirit near.
When we praise the Lord our God, His Glory appears. 2 Chronicles 5:11 where the Covenant Box of the Lord was returned to the Temple the Glory of God appeared. The Levites praised God with cymbals, harps and trumpets that accompanied the singers. “…As the priests were leaving the temple, it was suddenly filled with the dazzling light of the Lords presence…” this shows how God responds when praised immensely. In 2 Chronicles 20:22 “as they began to sing, the Lord threw the invading armies into panic.” We see here how God caused the enemies who wanted to attack King Jehoshaphat in Judea to turn against themselves and kill each other, this was because the Judeans praised the Lord marching before the army.
Acts 16:25-26 “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God,… suddenly there was a violent earthquake, which shook the prison to its foundations. At once the doors opened and the chains fell off all prisoners.” This miracle happened because of the praises and hymns that Paul and Silas sang for the Lord. The jailer and his family got saved that very night. Praising God can perform miracles in a way that no one expects. Try this and you will have a testimony to tell.
The kind of love that God has for us is so much incredible. Despite the fact that we are great sinners He still care for us. We only think about ourselves, we don’t even look for Him because we are busy doing our businesses. Serving Him has become a joke or prestige to others, instead of humbling ourselves we are very proud. Yet Jesus said himself that he brought salvation free in order for no one to boast about it. His love is so great that he thought of people like me and you. Sit down somewhere and start thinking of what are you robbing your God. Return the love He is giving to you. No one can love you like He does.
God has spoken blessings in your life.
God is not like men, who lie; he is not a human who changes his mind. Whatever he promises he does. He speaks and it is done. When God blesses, no one can call it back. Numbers 23:19.
God brought into this world and he has a purpose for you to fulfil in this world.I represent him who do you represent? He wants you to grow in character, knowledge and wisdom.
2 Peter 3:18
Continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Put your faith into action.
The act of being a student, be able to be taught and learn then later share the message to those who don’t know it.
When Jesus began his work in Galilee, we see that he did not intend to do his work alone, Mathew 4:18-22 “…come with me and I will teach you to catch men…”here Jesus called four fishermen; Simon Peter and his brother Andrew and James and John the sons of Zebedee. These men were doing the work of nettingfish;Jesus thought it wise to rather transform them into netting men and bringing them to the kingdom of God. Mathew 9:9 Jesus called Mathew the tax collector to follow him. Mark 3:13 Jesus chose his 12 disciples and he assigned them to do his work. In this process of calling his apostles, Jesus kept on teaching. Before he called these disciples, each one of them had their own businesses, neither were they sitting idle nor were they evangelizing. Before they begunevangelizingJesus made sure he taught them the message. That is why it is important to learn and understand the gospel message before sharing it. It is written that it must never be altered, it must remain the way it is written in revelation 22:18.
After calling these disciples, Jesus went ahead and gave them authority to drive away evil spirits and heal every disease and sickness as well as spreading the message. Mathew 10:1…says that the harvest was too large but there were no harvesters. Even now the harvest is too large but there are few workers to gather in God’s harvest. This is where you as a Christian believer, you are required to chip in and fill this gap. Mathew 28:19 “go then to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
Even after Jesus’ death and resurrection, his disciples continued in fellowship and evangelism. Acts 2:44 “all the believers continued together in close fellowship and shared their belongings with one another” reading that verse going down, the apostles spread the good news not only spiritually but also physically through baptizing, sharing belongings and even healing the sick. The same kind of awe that people were filled with then, we should be filled with now. But this can’t easily happen since the devil is trying hard to widen the gap between God and His people. As a believer it is our duty to fill this gap and fulfill the mission of the gospel as intended.
